Concussion #2
We were at Chris Greene Lake. You were wearing earth shoes, I came up behind you on my skates intent on pushing you in front of me. You slipped. Were you pregnant with Kate? Did you have on the pregnant coat?
Concussion #1
Not wanting to "upset" Jamie with the new puppy you decided to slide out the driver's side door with Sasha. I wasn't looking and I slammed the car door on your head.

Putt Putt
We used to walk (drive?) the dogs from Fountain Court up to the open land behind the Putt Putt so we could exercise them. Why didn't we take them to Penn Park?

Becoming A Vegetarian
Not the only reason you became a vegetarian but this magnificent animal peeking in the window @ North Garden certainly pushed you in that direction.

Morning Ablutions
Chasing you naked through the front yard at North Garden, only to have Herman knock on the front door after we'd gone back inside. Priceless.

Fire Island
You would "suffer" through the nude karate kicking men just to indulge me on our walks east from Robert Moses.

The Big Kahuna
It was on days like this that you and Marian wrapped blankets around trash cans at Robert Moses so that Kevin and I could continue our quest for riding the Big Kahuna.

The Bridge
Exceeding the speed limit on the way to or from Robert Moses made you very upset. Of course that would have only been in the off season because in season we usually proceeded at a crawl.

The Trip
Let me take you down, 'cause I'm going to Strawberry Fields.
Nothing is real and nothing to get hung about.
Sometimes the lights all shining on me;
Other times I can barely see.
Lately it occurs to me what a long, strange trip it's been.

The Door To Nowhere
The second floor apartment in the fan district of Richmond had a door exiting to the outside with no stairs. One had to be wide awake going to the bathroom less you turn the wrong handle.

The Piano Room
In the evening, after Steve Sharp and I were done playing the piano, you and I would strip the brown faux leather cushions from the couches and make our bed so we could be alone instead of the 2nd floor triple (or quad). Did you wear your Dr. Denton's?

Econo Lodge
On the outskirts of Richmond on the Midlothian Turnpike there was a hotel with single rooms for $8/night. This was back in 1973. It was a much better alternative than sneaking me up to the 16th floor of the all girl's dorm downtown in the fan district. While giving up the high rise dorm meant not hearing Linda Frees moan as she curled her toes, going to the hotel did mean shopping for humongous cucumbers to satisfy Donna McIntosh's sexual cravings in the room next door to ours.

Fringe Benefits
You lived on the fringes of Cumberland, MD and when I showed up I had on my leather fringe vest and.... wait for it... brown and white vertical striped bell bottoms. one might say i had (and still have) an exellent sense of direction. my sense of fashion? don't go there.

Gas Rationing
After waking up in the hospital in Melville and finding out I totalled the '74 Camaro I bought a '74 Datsun b210. My first stick shift. You learned on it also. If i had a full tank I could make it all the way from Lindenhurst to Richmond without waiting in line to get gas.

Jack's
Did I ever take you to Jack's to play shuffle bowling and eat steamed clams on the half shell, washing it down with some nondescript Pennsylvania beer? I can't remember because I always drank too much when I went there.

Key City Diner
This diner located in Phillipsburg, NJ on rt 22 was near the intersection of the road to Centenary. They had great apple turnovers.
Junk Food
Sometimes when Frenzy's or Pops or Dunkin Donuts just wouldn't cut it we'd just go grocery shopping for junk and eat it in the piano room @ 225 Reeder St.
Pop's
Cream cheese and roast beef sandwiches. Obviously before moving to the middle of a cow field in North Garden
Frenzy's
It's hard to impress a young woman when you have stringy beef hanging out of your mouth from your Philly steak sandwich, but man, were they good!

The Promise
For our 36th anniversary present to each other Razzle came up with the idea of writing down our memories of our time together; the good, the bad, and the ugly. Here goes.....
